Crvena Zvezda – Real Madrid

On last posted blog Crvena Zvezda played bad 4th quarter and we missed our bet, but then we got it all back and quite more 2 days ago in France. Zvezda dominated that match and after slow start dominated last 3 quarters. 9 players played at least 9 minutes and nobody more than 27 so they should be fresh and rested for this one even though it is only 2 days later. Zvezda is going to miss their fans on home court for sure but they beat CSKA in Belgrade and played solid game. O Bryant was rested against Asvel and he should give them the lift here. Tavares was by far most influential player last time they played in Belgrade and Real won that game fairly easy. Now Zvezda has Kuzmic, Reath, Terry and even O Bryant and couple different bodies to put on Tavares. Asvel had big center and every time they switched, Walden and Loyd exposed that matchup and got open three or got into the lane and I expect much of the same here.

Real has been together for years as a team. Great offensively, solid on defense they don’t have many weaknesses. Llull is coming of the bench and that says a lot about their team. They do have couple older players that could be exposed by younger and hungrier team. Both teams have same record 3-4 thus far and I expect Zvezda to make it uncomfortable for Real to run their offense. If Loyd and Walden can impose their will on offense I expect defense to be there. I have to roll with 6 points that Zvezda is getting here since I expect this match can go down to the wire and 6 points can prove to be huge here.

Another match I am eyeing is Bayern – Valencia but no official play yet. I expect Valencia to take this one possibly. I think they are better team then their record shows but they had few players out like everyone else due to Covid. I might put small play myself on them but that is just me.
