Zenit – Fenerbahce

So far different season for these two teams than anticipated.. Zenit started great in Euroleague while Fener is still struggling and can’t seem to get it going. They just lost in Turkey their first game in OT and that was just one day after Kokoskov finished with Serbian National team 2 games in euro qualifications. Zenit is favored by 5.5 and my bet will be on Fenerbahce.

Fener is still without their best player in Nando De Colo but they played very good vs imo very good Valencia team and lost in last couple minutes. Brown was great and so was Barthel. After their loss in Turkey I expect them to be fully focused here and play competitive in Russia. Zenit is very good side but they are not as good as their score suggest. They had great wins on the road and on the road they are 5-0 but at home only 1-2 with lone win vs Barcelona which was great. Player wise I don’t see many difference between those 2 teams and Zenit is in better mood for sure and are playing on home court which is great. I think they might even have people in the gym which is a plus, they had over 2000 people in their last match vs Khimky which they lost.

Also 5.5 seems to be a bit much so I will play spread and straight up win for smaller amount because if Fener plays good enough I think they have legit shot of taking this game. However, if they don’t improve then even 5.5 could be in trouble. Zenit is one of the worst shooting 3’s teams in Euroleague and their defense hasn’t been great so I hope for Lorenzo and Dixon(Muhammed) to be able to break down their defense and run the show.

I am most likely playing Fener +5.5 on 3 units and ML at 3.0 on 1 unit but that shall be decided.
